One of the most complex hand-drawn visual timelines ever created on the history of rock music. A Rock and Roll Family Tree. The project is the result of several years of historical research and over three years of continuous drawing.

Every figure, building and reference has been carefully documented and positioned within a coherent visual structure.

An Illustrated Rock History. The scale of the work allows the viewer to perceive both the global architecture of the composition and the microscopic richness of its details, creating a rare balance between complexity and readability.

Hidden details, visual jokes and subtle narrative connections enrich the composition, transforming the viewing experience into an ongoing discovery process. Many elements reference well-known anecdotes, while others reveal lesser-known curiosities embedded in the history of popular music.

This first completed panel covers the period from 1900 to 1974, tracing the evolution from blues, jazz and early popular music to the birth and explosion of rock culture.

A second panel, extending the narrative beyond 1974, is currently in development, expanding the scope of this long-term visual project.

This section is intended as a print editorial project, but in this online version you’ll still find a summary of their biographies and key genres, an interactive selection of their most significant songs, and a table of contents for the chapters that will then be developed in the printed version to create a comprehensive, lively, and vibrant portrait, filled with often curious, bizarre, and often little-known episodes. Not the usual list of albums, lineups, or band histories, but the artists as human beings, with their strengths and weaknesses, and as a mirror of the times and society that produced them.

Selected sections of the artwork are available as fine art prints and limited editions.

From the original drawing, several fine art editions and thematic prints have been created, including:
