Rock History Part Two | Work in Progress

Follow the progress of the second part of “The Great Rock and Roll History” project.

The conclusion of the most comprehensive rock history timeline ever compiled

The Great Rock and Roll History is a large-scale illustrated history of rock music, mapping its evolution from early blues and jazz to the explosion of rock culture.

This page will feature images and clips documenting the progress of the second plate of this enormous project, tentatively titled Rock History Part 2. Once completed, it will form a single body of work with the previous work.

For size reasons, it’s a project that has been divided into two panels: the first, already completed, which you can view extensively on this site, and the second panel, of equal dimensions (140 x 200 cm), which as of May 2026 is at the beginning of the hatching phase.

A Rock History Timeline

The journey continues where it left off. It begins in 1975 and is expected to extend to 2000, the year the project will conclude. The completion timeline should be quicker, as the general database of musicians is already complete. I expect to finish it by summer 2027 at the latest.
