One of the most complex hand-drawn visual timelines ever created on the history of rock music. A Rock and Roll Family Tree. The project is the result of several years of historical research and over three years of continuous drawing.

Every figure, building and reference has been carefully documented and positioned within a coherent visual structure.

An Illustrated Rock History. The scale of the work allows the viewer to perceive both the global architecture of the composition and the microscopic richness of its details, creating a rare balance between complexity and readability.

Hidden details, visual jokes and subtle narrative connections enrich the composition, transforming the viewing experience into an ongoing discovery process. Many elements reference well-known anecdotes, while others reveal lesser-known curiosities embedded in the history of popular music.

From 1900 to 1974 — The First Panel of a Larger Project

This first completed panel covers the period from 1900 to 1974, tracing the evolution from blues, jazz and early popular music to the birth and explosion of rock culture.

A second panel, extending the narrative beyond 1974, is currently in development, expanding the scope of this long-term visual project.

A dedicated section documents the full creative process, from early sketches and research to the final execution and photographic documentation, including time-lapse videos of selected drawing phases. The full creative process is documented in The Making Of the artwork.

Selected sections of the artwork are available as fine art prints and limited editions.

From the original drawing, several fine art editions and thematic prints have been created, including:

Each edition preserves the integrity of the original artwork while offering different viewing scales and thematic focuses.
