About this Artwork…

The initial work, “Surgical Reliquary I” was conceived from the beginning not only as a stand-alone work but also as a matrix for multiples in continuous experimentation. I started with a high quality print of the original work, placed on panel and framed. I subsequently intervened with “poor” materials such as surgical gauzes, diluted iodine dye, glues, ropes, nails, stucco, etc.

Multiples

By “multiples” I mean variations of the same subject treated with different techniques and styles, giving free rein to the imagination and emotions that my work inspires. The “Surgical Reliquary” series began with issue one and is expanded with issue four.
