The “Mechanisms” series also called “Totem Builders” is the hallmark of my work.

This is the second work in the “Meccanismo” or “Totem Builder” series. There were preparatory drawings, and even a few plates that seemed finished but were still unclear. This first work was conceived as a trilogy, and was actually composed of three pieces designed to be framed together. However, the third piece was sold while still in progress, so for many years “Meccanismo 1 and 2” were a single work, as can be seen from the image below. Then, over time, due to transportation difficulties (the glass broke at almost every exhibition), I decided to separate them and consider them separate entities.

The Original Work
