With two album and one E.P. at early 2022 The Silkway Riders continue their exploration through genres and styles, mixing loops and strumental parts to create a continue changing sound, spacing through world music to hard rock, Irish folk to Techno Industrial.360 degrees music is our flag.
Currently I'm working on the third album, with the collaboration of musician friends, but due to the intense activity in the artistic field his times have expanded. At the moment six tracks are ready, the rest are still in their raw state, but in the meantime I am pleased to present the highlight of the next album
SHORT STORY
Between the 80s and 90s with other musicians I created an experimental music group with ethnic influences, born with the aim of accompanying performances, events, exhibitions and poetry readings. With Dario De Grassi on keyboards, Richard Gatta on guitar and Didgeridoo, Bruno (I don't remember his surname) tablas and percussion and me on guitar and sequencer. The project was a great success, recordings were also made that were never published until I digitally transferred everything and then published it on the internet. The project, as often happens, was wrecked by internal disagreements on the directions to take. The composer for TLE was me and I found it natural to continue the conversation with The Silkway Riders, with whom I re-proposed much of the TLE repertoire, abandoning the more experimental part to devote myself fully to the song form, with songs that represented my love at 360 degrees for music and contamination. Essentially the Silkway Riders are just me, I make use of the collaboration of musician friends for the parts that I am not able to perform personally or that I cannot perform on the computer. I use a lot of programs to create music, working with cut and sew on loops and tracks, reinventing them and adapting them to the compositions, in which I normally play the guitar parts (which are often also loops), bass and keyboards

T.L.E.
As said before, the origins of the Silkway Riders date back to my old TLE project, many of the songs I wrote then I then reproposed them in SR. Parsec Away released as an EP only a few years ago, quite faithfully represents the sounds we used in the performances. These sounds and those of "Silkroad" are the hallmark of my making music
